Known around the world for its catchy sound and powerful lyrics, hearing an Irish Folk concert performed live is a memorable experience. Not only because the music is so good, but because its meaningful too. However, it’s not too often that you get the chance to hear it performed in a proper venue.
Though luckily for us, the Irish Folk Festival is currently on tour and will be making a stop at the Savoy Theater in Düsseldorf on November 8th.
They’ve selected four highly talented young Irish bands that are sure to make this an unforgettable night.
The Lineup:
BEOGA
The distinctive and energetic sound of Beoga has made them one of the most popular acts in modern Irish music. This award winning band is sure to have you tapping your feet along with the music in no time.
AOIFE SCOTT BAND
Born into of a legendary family of Irish Folk musicians, Aoife Scott is a gifted artist with an excellent voice. During the Irish Music Festival she will be accompanied by Andrew Meaney on the guitar, Eamonn Moloney on the flute, and Bouzouki (an instrument similar to a mandolin) player Conor Lyons.
AODÁN COYNE
Aodán Coyne is a multitalented singer-songwriter who recently released a critically acclaimed solo album, which he also composed and produced. His music is instantly appealing and memorable.
TERESA HORGAN & MATT GRIFFIN
This duo is sure to impress. Teresa Horgan is known as the voice of popular super groups Full Set and The Outside Track, while guitarist Matt Griffin previously played the Irish Folk Festival with Niamh Ni Charra Band. Teresa’s warm voice is truly exceptional.
