Creating Magic

Circus Roncalli was founded by Bernhard Paul more than 40 years ago and has been evolving ever since. It successfully unites the romantic world of the circus with the liveliness of the theater, creating a unique spectacle unlike any other. The cast of talented artists, vintage design, poetry, humor and new technology allow stories to be told in new and interesting ways.

“The program is full of surprises and emotional highlights. It’s my circus vision for the upcoming tour. ” – Roncalli founder Bernhard Paul (translated from German)

The Show

You’re sure to have a sense of nostalgia upon seeing the beautiful circus grounds as you approach from afar, illuminated by the warm light of 10.000 LED bulbs, and stylish brass lamps. At the entrance, live music and artists in dressed in colorful, ornate costumes welcome you to step inside the tent and experience the spectacle.

Innovative Technology

Circus Roncalli is the first circus in the world to use holography in its performances. Rather than live animals, the show includes holograms of elephants and horses in a larger than life scene that’s sure to leave guests speechless.

Food & Drinks

The attention to detail doesn’t end on stage – the food and drinks offered during the event include vegetarian and vegan food trucks, plus healthy options like smoothies, fruits and an ever expanding selection of organic items. And of course, you can still enjoy a sausage or some cotton candy, if you’re in the mood for some traditional treats. Drinks are offered in returnable bottles as part of Roncalli’s efforts to make the circus completely plastic free, and in the future cups and saucers will be made of compostable material as well.
